We are ready to hold our first Weiqi SIG gathering! With the support of Singapore Weiqi Association, we will be holding our gathering on 28 Feb Sunday, 7 to 9 pm at SWA @ Bishan Community Club 51 Bishan Street 13 #02-01 S(579799).
We have invited a guest speaker who will share with us about the game of Weiqi and tips on improving the game. And of course, we shall be forging new friendships and playing weiqi against one another.
To serve the varying needs of our Mensa members, we hope to fulfill the following objectives:
1) Opportunities for Mensa members to get to know like-minded friends in Mensa and SWA.
2) Opportunities for Mensa members to practice the game of Weiqi with one another.
3) Collaborate with SWA to provide skill training and ranking appraisal for our members
4) Form a team of dedicated players to represent Mensa in Weiqi tournaments.
It is our intention to maintain the interests of everyone who joins the SIG. I would like to invite those who are keen to work with me to manage the SIG. I am also looking at how we can request Mensa to join SWA as a corporate member so that we can enjoy further benefits as members.
I look forward to your support for our SIG and your attendance for the inaugural meeting. Please give me your suggestions and feedback so that we can provide the most value for our members through the SIG. Thank you.

Hi Chee Peng,
My son is a member of Mensa. Would like to bring him to the SIG. Do we need to register and how, if need to be?
He is 4-year-old. Hope you have some programs suitable for younger members too. Thanks.
Regards,
Shannon

Hi
I agree that our Mensa Weiqi SIG should have programs to involve younger members too. This is important since one of our objectives is to form a team of dedicated players to represent Mensa in Weiqi tournaments. It’s always good to start young when it comes to chess - and Weiqi.
Sincerely
Yun Chao
