A Special Invitation to the Mensa Singapore 20/09 Gala Dinner (Registration closes 30 April)

In commemoration of her 20th anniversary in 2009, Mensa Singapore will be organising a series of events to draw members together and do something for the community at the same time. A highlight of the 20/09 celebrations will be the 20/09 Gala Dinner with a community outreach element.

To make the event more meaningful, we will be working with NorthLight School (NLS).  NLS takes in students who have repeatedly failed their PSLE but the school managed to redefine success for the students.  A group of us visited NLS and we are very impressed with the mission and cause of the school.  As part of the programme, the students will be sharing what they have learnt and also will be performing for us.

At the 20/09 Gala Dinner, you can expect:

A sterling performance put up by NLS students
A chance to purchase art works of NLS students
An opportunity to network with like-minded individuals

If we are moved by the mission, we can do our part to contribute to the students’ assistance fund. Your contribution will go into providing the meal coupons, transport allowance and school uniform to the needy students.
